Mr Bishay was very symphethic and explained every variation, the good and the bad, in my wife illness and the treatment she was going get. The nursing staff at Cheltenham were a credit to the NHS, as was the staff at the Heartlands Birmingham. We have nothing but praise for all involved in the last traumatic month. Thanks very much to you all.

I was lucky enough to be referred to Heartlands into the care of Mr Bishay and his team when I was told I had a massive tumour in my right lung. Biopsies and scans had not shown a satisfactory conclusion. I needed more in-depth treatment and procedures to establish how I could be helped. From the word go I had exemplary care and guidance from everyone involved. I admit. I was scared but someone held my hand metaphorically every step of the way. Someone was always there to explain, support and encourage. My operation took 5 hours and I now know was a complete success thanks to the dedication, talent and no doubt determination of Mr Bishay and his team. I am humbled by the care and attention I have had, nothing was too much trouble. I have been told that Heartlands has the best thoracic team in Europe. That’s true and I am living proof. Mr Bishay is held in high regard, not only by his team but by all those I met. Guardian Angels come in all guises....I found mine at Heartlands on 13 March 2018

This part 2 of my review for MrBishay and his terrific team.I had an open lobectomy late Tuesday afternoon, was walking gingerly on Wed,spent most of Thurs wandering about.Fri morning discharged .I was astonished and delighted I was able to do this Of course it was due to the fact I had first class treatment and brilliant after careWhat I particularly appreciated was the close proximity of Mr Bishays team They had and used an office on the ward and always had a cheerful, aspect. They knew everything that was happeningThe high level of communication between the team and carers bamboozled me.They anticipated every stage of my recovery,Magical. H.D ward4 is not particularly pleasant and it was not nice having to be moved at 4 a.m simply to convenience the night nurse BUT the nursing care was brilliant .Emma and Sue were lovely and caring and Michael very efficient and a complete gent .These people are heroic

My care and treatment is absolutely astonishing. After being diagnosed with lung cancer I was devastated. After meeting Mr Bashay I was filled with hope He was confident he could help me with my condition. He was exactly the type of person I needed being direct, honest and compassionate. I instantly had confidence in his abilities and allowed myself to be directed by him in all aspects of care and treatment.I am right to do so.MrBishay is also a warm character with a light touch.I underwent a lobectomy and followed ,to the best of my ability, the post op processes suggested by his team who monitored me intensely throughout.I am sure they follow the mantra CARE IS FIRST.The team is utterly devoted to the cause they serve. My initial prognosis was bleak.I am now cancer free. They and the nurses did it.Improvement?Research, research research.knowledge is freedom.
